Partnering for success

Dana Broughton, MPT

“Although pain is an inevitable part of life, radical acceptance involves moving away from emotional reactions and helplessness toward calm and logical thought. While you may not be able to change the facts of a situation, you can choose how you view it—and how you’ll respond.”

As a practicing PT in North Carolina, I’m also offering wellness services* across the country. These sessions are for parents, healthcare providers, and students. My goal is to serve others with education and insight regarding the latest treatment ideas and interventions.

I’m excited to create opportunities for parents to discuss therapies that could greatly impact the development of their child. I also envision this as a learning environment where therapists and students can discuss ideas and gain information about pediatric physical therapy—especially for babies. I felt like I was on my own for so long, learning by trial and error. Now I have the experience and training to share what I’ve learned.

I’ve also created a toolbox of ideas for therapists (physical, occupational, and speech) and parents, so they don’t have to travel the same road of frustration that I did. Providing an opportunity to ask questions, share challenges, and solve problems makes my consultation approach different.

I am thrilled to offer this consultative approach to collaborate, educate, and learn.

* These are not PT therapy sessions and will not be billable through insurance companies.
